Signal is a Korean drama released in 2016 and stars the famous actress Kim Hye Soo and the two best South Korean actors, Lee Je Hoon and Cho Jin Woong.

The Korean drama which premiered on tvN on January 22, 2016 has 16 episodes. Drama Signal is an adaptation of a true story, namely a serial murder case in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea in 1986-1991.

The Korean drama Signal tells of the cooperation of detectives in the past and today in solving rape and murder cases through walkie-talkies.

Synopsis of Korean drama Signal begins with Park Hae Young (played by Lee Je Hoon) who works as a detective who handles many criminal cases.

However, Hae Young is actually forced to become a detective because of a traumatic event he experienced as a child. At that time, one of Hae Young's best friends, Yoon Jung, was kidnapped and later found dead.

Little Hae Young sees a woman picking up Yoon Jung from school but the police don't believe her testimony.

The case remains unsolved until Hae Young grows up and becomes a detective at the police station where he works.

This synopsis of Korean drama Signal continues when Hae Yong is one day walking out of the office and hears someone trying to talk to him.

Then he looked for the source of the sound but he found a walkie-talkie. The voice comes from detective Lee Jae Han (played by Cho Jin Woong).

Lee Jae Han turned out to be dead. Jae Han was the first to investigate the murder of Hae Young's friend, Yoon Jung.

Meanwhile, Cha Soo Hyun (played by Kim Hyee Soo) is Jae Han's old friend and Hae Young's co-worker.

It didn't take long, Hae Young ventured to tell Soo Hyun what had happened.

Then, will this trio of detectives be able to uncover the death of Hae Young's friend Yoon Jung with a walkie-talkie?

In 2016, Signal was named the best drama in Korean cable television history. Signal also managed to achieve a rating of 12.54 percent.
